35A violência feita contra mim e minha carne venha sobre a Babilônia, dirá a moradora de Sião; e meu sangue sobre os moradores da Caldeia, dirá Jerusalém.
36Portanto assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que eu defenderei a tua causa, e vingarei por ti; secarei seu mar, e farei que seu manancial fique seco.
37E Babilônia se tornará em amontoados, em morada de chacais, espanto e assovio, sem morador algum.
38Juntamente rugirão como leões; como filhotes de leões bramarão.
