For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

For scripture says — ‘Rejoice, you barren one, who does never bear, Break into shouts, you who are never in labor, For many are the children of her who is desolate — aye, more than of her who has a husband.’

Denn es steht geschrieben: "Sei fröhlich, du Unfruchtbare, die du nicht gebierst; brich in Jubel aus und schreie, die du keine Geburtswehen hast! Denn die Kinder der Einsamen sind zahlreicher als derjenigen, die den Mann hat."

Porque está escrito: Alégrate, estéril, que no pares: prorrumpe y clama, la que no estás de parto; porque más son los hijos de la dejada, que de la que tiene marido.

Pois está escrito: Alegra-te, ó estéril, que não geras filhos; extravasa gritando de júbilo, tu, que não estás de parto; porque muitos mais são os filhos da solitária, que os da que tem marido.

Porque está escrito: "Regozija-te, ó estéril, que não dás à luz. Clama e exulta de alegria tu, que não sofres as dores de parto. Porque os filhos da mulher abandonada são mais numerosos do que os da que tem marido".
