Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

Teach those who are wealthy in this life not to pride themselves, or fix their hopes, on so uncertain a thing as wealth, but on God, who gives us a wealth of enjoyment on every side.

Den Reichen in dem gegenwärtigen Zeitlauf gebiete, nicht hochmütig zu sein, noch auf die Ungewißheit des Reichtums Hoffnung zu setzen, sondern auf Gott, der uns alles reichlich darreicht zum Genuß;

A los ricos de este siglo manda que no sean altivos, ni pongan la esperanza en la incertidumbre de las riquezas, sino en el Dios vivo, que nos da todas las cosas en abundancia de que gocemos:

Manda aos ricos desta era que não sejam soberbos, nem ponham a esperança na incerteza das riquezas, mas sim em Deus, que nos dá abundantemente todas as coisas que são para alegria;

Fala aos ricos deste mundo para não serem orgulhosos e não terem esperança nas riquezas, pois são incertas. Em vez disso, devem esperar em Deus, que nos oferece todas as verdadeiras riquezas para desfrutarmos.
