3Und der König von Israel sprach zu seinen Knechten: Wisset ihr nicht, daß Ramoth-Gilead unser ist? Und wir bleiben still und nehmen es nicht aus der Hand des Königs von Syrien?

6Da versammelte der König von Israel die Propheten, bei vierhundert Mann, und er sprach zu ihnen: Soll ich wider Ramoth-Gilead in den Streit ziehen, oder soll ich davon abstehen? Und sie sprachen: Ziehe hinauf, und der Herr wird es in die Hand des Königs geben.
