Entonces díjole Hazael: ¿Por qué llora mi señor? Y él respondió: Porque sé el mal que has de hacer á los hijos de Israel: á sus fortalezas pegarás fuego, y á sus mancebos matarás á cuchillo, y estrellarás á sus niños, y abrirás á sus preñadas.

Então disse-lhe Hazael: Por que chora meu senhor? E ele respondeu: Porque sei o mal que farás aos filhos de Israel: a suas fortalezas pegarás fogo, e a seus rapazes matarás à espada, e despedaçarás a seus meninos, e rasgarás ao meio a suas grávidas.

Hazael perguntou: "Por que choras, meu senhor?" Ele respondeu: "Porque eu sei as maldades que farás ao povo de Israel. Colocarás fogo às suas fortalezas e matarás os seus jovens à espada; despedaçarás os seus pequeninos, e rasgarás o ventre das mulheres grávidas".
