By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel.

Durch deine Knechte hast du den Herrn verhöhnt und hast gesprochen: "Mit meiner Wagen Menge habe ich die Höhen der Berge erstiegen, das äußerste Ende des Libanon; und ich werde umhauen den Hochwuchs seiner Zedern, die Auswahl seiner Zypressen, und ich werde kommen auf seine äußerste Höhe, in seinen Gartenwald.

Por mano de tus siervos denostaste al Señor, y dijiste: Yo con la multitud de mis carros subiré á las alturas de los montes, á las laderas del Líbano; cortaré sus altos cedros, sus hayas escogidas; vendré después á lo alto de su límite, al monte de su Carmel.

Por meio de teus servos afrontaste ao Senhor, e disseste: Com a minha multidão de carruagens eu subi aos cumes dos montes, aos lugares remotos do Líbano; e cortarei seus altos cedros, e seus melhores ciprestes, e virei a seu extremo cume, ao bosque de seu campo fértil.

Por meio dos teus servos, afrontaste o Senhor, e disseste: 'Com a multidão das minhas carruagens, subi até o alto das montanhas, até as mais altas elevações do Líbano. Eu cortarei seus altos cedros e os ciprestes selecionados e entrarei no mais distante dos altos lugares, na mais frutífera floresta.
